Group Process and Leadership Skills Training

Spreading the wildfire of resiliency can occur through organizational leadership that supports the development of a secure group process within a work team that encourages the expression of vulnerability and the practicing of resiliency skills. This leadership also requires a basic understanding of STAR-T principles and the ability to dynamically teach these skills in effective ways. Creating safety for these processes involves training individuals within organizations and community who are secondary trauma education and prevention specialists. These individuals hold the space for their work teams by guiding effective group process to address secondary trauma and the resiliency skills necessary to experience post-traumatic growth. They also function as prevention educators who can guide teams through a training process to teach about secondary trauma and the toolbox of resiliency.

It is a prerequisite for this training to have attended a STAR-T Facet One training.

The leadership opportunities that follow from this training include becoming a trainer for the STAR-T Facet One Dynamic Psycho-educational Trainings, being a facilitator of inner agency ongoing STAR-T Group Process and Resiliency Skill Practice Groups,  being a change agent inside an organization with STAR-T “Second Wave” processes that insure that resiliency continues to spread through organizations. This leadership can occur within your own organization or be offered as a contracted resource for other organizations.
